I tried deviled eggs yesterday because I love them. The smooth and creamy ones please. No relish. I am looking at 2 recipes and the creative me is going to combine them to make the perfect deviled egg. One dozen eggs later, I realize that one recipe was for only 6 eggs. THE ENTIRE BATCH WAS RUINED. Not even my dog would eat them- seriously.

But I have some pretty pictures of eggs….so there is that at least….

DOES ANYONE HAVE A GOOD RECIPE FOR ME? I may be the only person in the world who cares about this.

I know- like THIS hasn’t been done before. But I have tried many a recipe and it turns out I am VERY particular about my standard batch of chocolate chip cookies. My friend Kristie showed up with some the other week that were AMAZING and I asked exactly how she did them. With a few tweaks and a very specific method, I do believe I have officially found my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.

I cooked them over the rainy weekend and here is the recipe:

2 1/4 cups UNBLEACHED flour

1 t salt

1 t baking soda

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

3/4 cup ORGANIC sugar

1 cup UNSALTED butter softened

1 t vanilla (the real stuff!)

2 eggs

1 package semi-sweet MINI chocolate chips

Combine flour, salt and baking soda in a bowl- set aside.

Combine sugars, butter and vanilla and beat until creamy.

Add eggs and beat.

Slowly add sifted dry ingredients and mix well.

Stir in the mini choc chips.

Key for consistency- use a cookie spooning thing-y:

Bake at 375 degrees for 7-8 min…..
